Charter of the Tsalka Eco-Village "Green Vision"

 We, the creators and future residents of the Tsalka Eco-Village, recognize our responsibility toward nature, the local community, and future generations. Our goal is to create a harmonious space where humans and nature coexist, where local culture and traditions are respected, and where sustainable development is an integral part of daily life. This Charter is our collective agreement, which will guide us in the creation and operation of our Eco-Village.

I. Core Values and Principles of the Project

  • Respect for Nature: All our actions will be oriented toward protecting and preserving the unique natural environment of Tsalka—its canyon, flora, and fauna.Sustainability: Ecological, economic, and social sustainability are the cornerstones of our project.Local Identity: We respect and preserve the cultural heritage, traditions, and diversity of the Tsalka district.Community Engagement: We promote the active involvement of the local community in the project's development and share the benefits with them.Education and Awareness: We actively promote the raising of ecological awareness among both residents and guests.Innovation: We seek and implement innovative, eco-friendly technologies and practices.

II. Obligations of the Administration (Unconditional Necessity)

1. Eco-Friendly Infrastructure

  • Construction Materials: Preference will be given to local, eco-friendly, and recyclable materials (wood, stone, clay).Energy Efficiency: All buildings will be energy-efficient; renewable energy sources will be utilized (solar panels, small wind generators).Water Management: Systems for rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling for irrigation will be established. Water-saving technologies will be implemented.Waste Management: Systems for separated waste collection, recycling, and composting will be created.Canyon Protection: Strict rules will be developed and implemented to protect the canyon from pollution.

2. Preservation of the Natural Environment

  • Landscape Protection: We will minimize changes to the natural landscape and promote the planting of local vegetation.Biodiversity: We will protect local flora and fauna and create favorable conditions for them.Chemical Restrictions: The use of harmful chemicals, pesticides, and herbicides will be prohibited within the complex territory.

3. Local Development

  • Employment: Priority will be given to the employment of the local population.Products: We will prioritize the purchase of local, seasonal, and organic products for restaurants and shops.Cultural Programs: We will support the promotion of local artisans and cultural groups.

4. Education

  • Information: We will ensure that guests and residents are informed about the principles of the Eco-Village and a sustainable lifestyle.Workshops: We will organize seminars on ecological farming, crafts, and waste recycling.

III. Obligations of Residents and Guests (Unconditional Necessity)

1. Respect for Nature

  • Waste: Dispose of waste separately in specially designated containers. Under no circumstances should waste be left in nature.Canyon: It is forbidden to pollute the canyon area with any type of waste (household, chemical).Flora and Fauna: Protect plants and animals. It is forbidden to pick flowers, damage trees, or disturb/feed wildlife.Fire: Lighting fires is permitted only in specially designated and safe areas.

2. Economical Consumption of Resources

  • Water: Use water economically.Energy: Conserve electricity and manage smart devices (lights, air conditioners) when not inside the building.

3. Compliance with Local Rules

  • Noise: Observe silence during night hours and respect the peace of other residents and guests.Transport: Use eco-friendly transport (electric vehicles, bicycles, walking) within the complex. Vehicle movement is permitted only for arrival at and departure from the destination.

4. Respect for Local Culture

  • Respect local traditions and the local population.Purchasing: Prioritize products of local production.

IV. Strictly Prohibited:

  • The use of any type of single-use plastic items (plates, cups, cutlery) within the complex. The administration will provide reusable alternatives.The discharge of chemical substances (e.g., aggressive cleaning agents) into the canyon or soil.Burning waste in the open air.Cutting down trees or destroying plants without agreement from the administration.Organizing noisy parties or activities that disturb the peace of other residents and nature.The use of motorcycles, ATVs (quad bikes), or other noisy vehicles within the complex, except in emergencies.Any action that damages the canyon ecosystem (e.g., littering, illegal fishing).

V. Dispute Resolution and Sanctions

In the event of a violation of this Charter, the administration is authorized to take appropriate measures, which include a warning, a monetary fine, or—in the case of repeated and gross violations—expulsion from the Eco-Village.
